RESEARCHERS

 


UCERF unites all the law department researchers of the Molengraaff Institute for Private Law who engage in family law research. In addition to their expertise in Dutch, European and international family law, among them there also exists extended knowledge of the various national legal systems of other European states.

 

The UCERF researchers participate in the following research programmes by writing theses, monographs and scientific articles as well as giving presentations:

 

·      European family- and inheritance law

o       Maintenance in Europe

o       Children and their parents

 

·      Co-parenting and relocation

o       Co-operation with the Utrecht University’s sociology department

o       Co-operation with the Birmingham University Arts and Humanities Research Council

UCERF researchers publish their work in renowned national and international monographs and magazines. Extensive research in English is published in the ‘European Family Law’ (EFL) series by Intersentia in Antwerp.
